Patching Oracle Applications

                                FAMILY PACK PATCHES (R12.ATG_PF.B.3(8919491) )

•  Stop all application services (keep the database and the database listener up and running)
•  Downloaded the patch(for eg:- 8919491) from Metalink, also downloaded the pre-req patch (9239089)
•  Unzip the patches to '/home/applmgr/patches'
•  Now, as applmgr user source the env file and do the following:-

·         [applmgr@oracleupk appl]$ . ./APPSPROD_oracleupk.env

• Issue "adadmin" and select to "Enable Maintenance Mode", then exit

·         cd <Patches>

•     Now go through README.txt, it says we must  apply R12.AD.B.DELTA.3 as a prerequisite before we  apply this patch. Do not merge R12.AD.B.DELTA.3 with this patch. It must be applied separately.

•  So we will apply 9239089 aka R12.AD.B.DELTA.3 patch first.

•  Go to the unzipped patch directory (For example: [applmgr@oracleupk 9239089]$ pwd

/home/applmgr/patches/9239089 )

•  Issue "adpatch"
• When it prompts you to enter the patch driver, enter the driver name   
•  Once the patch complete successfully, issue "adadmin" and "Disable Maintenance Mode"
